OVERVIEW

Decoded is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated People & Office Manager to join our US team and be a member of our Global People Team. You will be responsible for developing and managing our end-to-end people processes, overseeing our working environment virtually and our physical office in New York, employee engagement activities in the US and ensuring our People & Culture thrive.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As People & Office Manager at Decoded, you’re ultimately accountable for:

  • Employee lifecycle management

    • Manage all people processes (hiring, onboarding, performance management and off-boarding)

    • Develop and deliver learning & development initiatives across the organization

  • Global recruitment

    • Lead and drive all recruitment processes and activities across the US (posting job ads, scheduling interviews, etc)

    • Liaise with candidates through the recruitment process ensuring a positive experience

    • Report on recruitment and update hiring teams on candidate progress

    • Manage our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure it’s used for all recruitment steps

    • Build strong and trusted relationships with hiring managers across our US, UK and APAC region

    • Manage Decoded’s LinkedIn career page and work with the UK People & Office Manager on our employee brand

  • Culture

    • Work with our Managing Director to drive the culture of Decoded in the US

    • Create an excellent place to work, including upholding our team values and behaviors

    • Own and execute our calendar of employee engagement and team events (company meetings, socials, global public holidays, lunch and learns, team birthdays and anniversaries, etc)

  • People operations

    • Support our Managing Director in all People and HR operational processes and procedures

    • Liaise with our US external HR advisors to resolve any complex HR issues

    • Lead the implementation and maintain all People policies/processes across the business

  • Office management & remote working

    • Manage our physical office, the relationship with the landlord and all suppliers

    • Ensure employees have all the equipment required for home working and office hot-desking

    • Communicate updates regarding the office and home working to the team

WHO ARE YOU?

  • You have a minimum of 2 year’s experience

  • Your communication skills are unmatched - written, verbal, 1:1, group

  • You solve problems elegantly and creatively, with a can-do attitude: “find a way or make a way”.

  • You are excited to work in a fast-moving organization and the opportunity to grow within it

  • You have a passion for working with people, always building collaborative and productive relationships with colleagues and partners alike.

TEAM REPORTING & STRUCTURE

Report into the People & Office Manager (Global), based in London, while working closely with the US Management Team, including our Managing Partner, US.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

  1. Recruiter Chat: You’ll speak to our people team and be asked a series of questions about your experience, while learning about the role and Decoded.
  2. Interview Challenge: You’ll be sent a challenge which is designed to understand your approach to people, team and office management.
  3. Final Interview: You’ll have a video chat with a member of our US Management Team. By the end of this process, you will come away with informative insights on the role and life at Decoded.
