Decoded is looking for a Marketing Director to lead our marketing responsibilities globally and be a member of our Senior Leadership Team, sitting on the Global ExCo.
We are seeking a candidate experienced in driving significant revenue growth through digital marketing channels. You must be data driven, able to work to commercial targets and a team leader.
You will have accountability for the marketing across the global organisation and for the generation of high value qualified leads for our suite of digital literacy and data skills programmes.
You will implement marketing programmes that a) generate high quality sales leads for the sales teams to then qualify and close b) that influence existing clients to commit to additional business with the Company.
You will work closely with the Commercial Team to identify opportunities to grow our relationships with our current clients (global organisations such as HSBC, Citi, Nike and Unilever) and generate leads with target organisations and industries (spanning Finance, Retail, Technology, Telco, Healthcare and Automotive) .
You will help to define the resources needed for Marketing at Decoded and will grow your team as we scale.
SPECIFIC ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
As Marketing Director you will be responsible for:
All marketing activities designed to generate new sales leads including: social media, PR, events, advertising, digital marketing etc (please note, this excludes the activity that the Commercial Team do to take leads, to qualify them and close them, and all materials specifically to support that).
All account based marketing programmes targeted to our existing clients, for our account management teams to convert to new sales.
Global product marketing campaigns, as well as brand marketing campaigns, focused on delivering the right sales opportunities to Decoded, both from new and existing clients.
The management of a marketing budget, including the reporting on its ROI effectiveness.
The ownership of key touchpoints for lead generation, including the website and company social media accounts.
Appointment and management of external agencies to assist the Company to deliver this marketing programme in the most effective way.
You will define and maintain a standard for marketing which delivers Decoded’s values of excellence, simplicity, integrity and fun.
Chairing the Company’s cross functional Communications Committee (CommCo).
Contributing to the general strategy and management of the Company as a member of the company’s Executive Committee (ExCo).
WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?
A successful candidate will be expected to achieve the following within 12 months:
Delivering a marketing strategy that meets Decoded’s Commercial objectives.
Quantifying and setting ambitious, high quality lead generation targets.
Testing and validating the optimum marketing mix for delivering on these targets.
Generating and assessing robust cost of acquisition and ROI data to be used in the business case for increased investment in marketing.
Delivering on lead generation through the most efficient marketing initiatives.
Setting a standard of excellence, simplicity, integrity and fun across all of Decoded’s marketing touchpoints.
Managing all external agency relationships (including Account Based Marketing and any others appointed) to maximise value.
Identifying, hiring and retaining world-class talent into your team (either internal or flexible).
Developing talent within your team through regular objective-setting, feedback and progression cycle.
Operationalising clear processes for the team’s running on a day-to-day, week-to-week and quarter-to-quarter basis through relevant and focussed meetings, documentation, comms channels and reporting mechanisms.
Unlocking internal blockers around process, resource, budget for your team.

To secure the right candidate for the role, we are open to discussing a weekly work commitment of less than five days.
