Decoded is looking for a Learning Technology Administrator to join our LXD team on a full-time permanent basis. As a Learning Tech Admin you will support our cutting-edge data science and digital education programmes through the administration of our learning tech stack, including our LMS, Canvas, and survey platform, Alchemer. During your onboarding, you will be upskilled in our suite of tools and how we use them at Decoded, so previous experience with them is fantastic, but not required.


As a Learning Tech Admin at Decoded, you’re accountable for:

  • Support and maintenance of our learning platforms/tools including:
    - Canvas (LMS)
    - Alchemer (Assessment & Surveys)
    - Articulate Rise (eLearning authoring tool)
    - Ad hoc support for our Apprenticeship platform (Bud)
  • Supporting learners and Decoded staff in our platforms
  • Onboarding, enrolling and offboarding users on our platforms and supporting Programme Managers and Mentors
  • Creating and managing sub-accounts for new and existing clients, creating courses for new cohorts and updating course content when needed
  • Supporting and maintaining third party API integrations across our platforms
  • Creating and running reports from these platforms
  • Encouraging the use of data and ensuring compliance of GDPR throughout our platforms
  • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of any new learning technology platforms
  • Acting as the main liaison with external support teams at our platform providers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Building the operational specifications and writing process documentation for the maintenance of new and existing technologies and platforms


Canvas LMS and other learning technology administration:

  • Importing new users and enrolling learners into new programmes in Canvas

  • Creating and maintaining relevant process documentation

  • Duplicating new courses in Canvas from the template course for new cohorts

  • Sub-account creation for new clients and cohorts

  • Updating and testing course-level integrations in new courses with relevant links

  • Liaising with the Learning Experience Design team to update blueprint template courses with content changes and push these changes to live courses

  • Liaising with the Technical Assurance Team when onboarding new clients and cohorts to ensure compatibility with learners’ technical requirements

  • Technical problem solving when Canvas-related issues are identified

  • Responding to Canvas-related support tickets raised through Zendesk

  • Monitoring learner progress in Canvas and creating stakeholder reports

  • Responding to ad-hoc learning technology requests and issues


  • Uploading new questionnaires/forms into Alchemer (survey platform) and implementing logic, integrations and applying set data pipelines

  • Creating and maintaining relevant documentation and guidance for new questionnaires/forms

  • Supporting other Decoded teams in data retrieval, troubleshooting and reporting using Alchemer functionality

  • Creating and supporting other Decoded teams in creating stakeholder reports using Alchemer, Data Studio and PowerBI

  • Current questionnaire/form management: setting quotas, managing survey campaigns, managing and organising archival and new data

    • Experience in technical support and administration of an extended enterprise-level LMS or VLE
    • Experience with SCORM and/or xAPI administration
    • Experience supporting and maintaining third-party APIs
    • Experience writing process documentation for administrative and user-management processes
    • Basic knowledge of data management
    • Ability to create stakeholder reports using report templates
    • Passion for tech and education

    • Familiarity with one or more of these platforms: Canvas LMS, Articulate 360, Alchemer (f.k.a. SurveyGizmo)
    • Experience using survey platforms, cloud-based data management platforms or a CMS
    • Experience administering web-based software
    • Experience in project management
    • Experience implementing an LMS or VLE
    • Experience in LTI or xAPI implementation
    • Experience administering a computer science or data/digital skills learning programme


    This role will report into the Senior Learning Experience Designer. You will work closely with our Learning Experience Design, Research and Global Operations team


    You will be based in our London office. You will work from 9am to 6pm either full time five days a week, or part time for a minimum of four days a week. You will travel to your learners' workplaces to deliver in person workshops monthly.

    You will be in control and responsible for your time. You plan your working day around the best outcomes for success, identifying and prioritising projects against business needs.
